Covid Update

I hope this update finds you well and that you are starting to enjoy more time outdoors and seeing friends and family, now that we are slowly and safely moving out of the lockdown.

I just wanted to let you know that following our government’s recent announcement, I can return to providing treatments from Monday 12 April 2021.

While I am very excited to be able to support you in person again, it is only natural that you might have one or two concerns about resuming close contact with someone outside of your household.

Covid Procedures

As such, I would like to start by letting you know some of the measures I have put in place to help protect your health and wellbeing at this time and make the sessions as covid secure as I can:

  • I am following guidelines issued by the government, NHS and my professional association, the Federation of Holistic Therapists, regarding safe and hygienic practice and the use of any personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • I have carried out a full risk assessment of my therapy business to reduce the risk of spreading coronavirus (COVID-19).

  • I have introduced enhanced cleaning and hygiene procedures to my practice.

  • When I return to providing treatments in person, I will be closely monitoring my own health, and that of my clients, to ensure neither party is put at risk of contracting COVID-19.

If you have any questions or you would like to discuss your next appointment, please do not hesitate to get in touch. It is very important to me that you feel comfortable resuming your treatments, so please feel free to ask me anything, no matter how small.

I look forward to seeing you again but in the meantime, stay safe and well.

I am now accepting new bookings.

Kind regards, Kay

COVID GUIDELINES FOR THE THERAPIST AND CLIENT

 I, your therapist will...

  • Check I am in good health before you arrive for treatment.

  • Wash my hands or use hand sanitiser before treatment.

  • Follow guidelines on the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) – I will wear a face visor and mask.

  • Disinfect non-porous materials, e.g. massage couch and equipment.

  • Wash porous materials e.g. pillowcases, sheets and towels.

  • Replace couch roll and other disposable materials.

  • Ventilate the treatment room.

  • Change their tunic/top/apron if needed.

  • Wear durable, disposable gloves when cleaning the premises.

  • Maintain social distancing before and after the treatment.

You will be asked to...

Prior to your treatment:

  • I will email to you the consultation form together with additional specific COVID questions to complete. We can then do the consultation over the phone prior to the appointment. This will help to reduce the amount of face to face time and talking and aims to lower risk of  cross contamination with use of pens, paper etc.

  • Please contact me and re-schedule if you have any symptoms of COVID-19, or if any person in your household is self-isolating.

At your treatment:

  • Bring a bottle of water for your refreshment.

  • Please wear a face mask.

  • Please bring a light blanket / covering etc if you prefer to be covered during reflexology.

  • Arrive at the agreed time (not too early or late) and ensure social distancing before and after the treatment.

  • Wash your hands or use hand sanitiser upon arrival.

  • Follow guidelines on the use of PPE.

  • Please pay online prior to treatment, where possible to reduce face to face time.

Changes to treatment – Indian Head Massage

IHM consists of working on the back, neck, shoulder, face and scalp.  In order to reduce the risk of infection, I will not do my usual routine of working directly on the face. Therefore IHM will consist of the areas above but avoiding the face. Longer time can then be spent on these other areas.

I hope all the above, shows that I am doing as much I can to reduce the risk of transmission for both client and therapist. Please let me know if you have any queries or concerns regarding this.
